UMA is looking for a Junior High Math teacher who will push cadets to accelerate their learning and prepare for high ACT scores and AP exams in future years!

Last year, our small graduating class of 53 seniors produced a total of 5 (five) Academy Appointments in the Military Service Academies (1 Merchant Marine, 1 Naval Academy, 2 West Point, 1 Air Force Academy). This would be an amazing feat for a high school with 500 seniors, but for 53 it nearly defies belief. And this year we have almost matched it with 4 appointments!

The Utah Military Academy (UMA) continues to grow and is seeking a highly qualified Secondary Math teacher for 7th & 8th grade cadets, with potential to teach a high school elective. We have a very supportive math team and administration, and this is an environment that the right candidate will never want to leave.

UMA is a Utah public charter school that combines an academically rigorous university preparation model with the military tradition of the Air Force JROTC program. Our middle school students receive significant instruction in core academic areas, along with being introduced to time tested strategies of military tradition. Our high school students are pushed to take increasingly rigorous high school and university courses in preparation for application to U.S. military academies or university ROTC programs.
