Salary: $40,000 plus bonus potential of up to $12,000

Role and Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

Research and provide staff support that will improve teaching and learning including: creating social studies lessons for all grade levels, effective teaching strategies, assessment of social studies skills, interpretation and use of assessment results, assistance in student pacing, serve as a resource in identifying appropriate instructional strategies and interventions, etc. Research and provide information and guidance regarding a range of effective and innovative research practices through various activities to the district’s faculty such as: individual discussions (informal and formal), coaching sessions, demonstration lessons with pre- and post- discussion/analysis, study groups, staff meetings, and professional development programs. Plan and facilitate professional development for the district that includes information to ensure teachers are knowledgeable and understand the instructional design of how the program meets the standards alignment (PLC’s, webinars, Epic University trainings) Collaborate with a team of other instructional coaches, with other departments, and with teachers on a regular basis to improve student achievement for all students. Meets regularly (weekly) with the administrative team to review benchmarks and established data points to assess student progress towards established instructional goals. Meet monthly with other coaches and curriculum team members as determined. Attends other meetings and trainings as directed. Additional projects and duties as needed by management Obtain prior approval from the Administrator before distributing written communication and other media. Skills and Abilities:

Strong work ethic and a self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a high-volume and fast-paced environment. Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with faculty. Ability to learn and navigate new software and technology quickly. Have an eagerness to learn and a growth mindset
