|General Description:||Direct Service with Special Education Students
|Skills:||Strong student assessment skills, keep current with professional practice in school psychology, strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal relations and collaborative teaming skills with all stakeholders, critical thinking and problem solving skills, calm demeanor during crisis situations, ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively, ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds. Must have strong computer technology skills.|
|Education and Licensure||Master’s Degree in Psychology, Specialist’s Degree, or Doctorate in School Psychology from an accredited college or university Previous school experience preferred.|
|Certificates, Licenses and Registrations||CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology|
|Strategic Plan:||The school psychologist shall identify the development needs of students, shall maintain a productive learning environment, and shall work collaboratively to support the priorities of the Strategic Plan.|
|Condition of Employment:||As a condition of employment, the individual selected for this position will be expected to complete the APS-sponsored Linguistically Diverse Educator (LDE) required course(s) within the first three years of employment.
