This position is for a high school band teacher. At the present time there are no band classes at the feeder schools. Most freshman are required to take band and upperclassmen have the opportunity to continue if they wish. Nearly all students enter the year as beginners. The band has not played in concerts per se, but has performed for football and basketball games as a pep band and other community events. We are looking for someone to take the music program to the next level!
Most of our teachers fulfill multiple roles (teacher, coach, IT, etc.) and/or teach multiple subjects. This position will also fulfill multiple roles, but specifics of the remaining roles are yet to be determined. If you have a passion for a subject or interest in addition to band we may have a spot for both!
