Must hold a license issued by any agency.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Substitute, School Nurse.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Preschool/Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active.
Job Description Substitute Nurse Essential Duties Administers medications and treatments as ordered. Provides care for student and staff illness and accidents. Administers care based on individual health care plans and individual emergency care plans. Serves as liaison between the home and the school regarding student health concerns. Documents all encounters in the Electronic Health Record. Follows communicable disease control procedures and informs administration and/or parents regarding school exclusion and readmission. Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently or for prolonged periods of time. Additionally, physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching and handling, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision.
