Under the supervision of the principal, the Occupational Therapist provides appropriate occupational therapy services to students based on the student's needs and abilities. Services may be direct or consultative depending on the educational needs of the student as required. The incumbent also provides support to school staff in developing appropriate educational programs for students with disabilities as required. This position requires daily local travel in personal vehicle, often in difficult driving conditions and /or situations. Mileage will be reimbursed. Provides occupational therapy to developmentally delayed infants, toddlers and their families as identified in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Ensures that all children ages 0-3 years are served in a timely and appropriate manner in keeping with procedural safeguards, rights and needs. This position fully embraces the mission and 7 key principles for providing early intervention services in the natural environment.
