Description

We are searching for a dynamic full-time middle school teacher to teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Social Studies/History. We are looking for an educator who can inspire and engage students in a place-based school, using the local community and environment to teach academic concepts, while emphasizing hands-on, real-world learning experiences. The successful candidate for this position will be an inspirational and passionate educator with the ability to deliver an inquiry-based, academic program. This educator will cultivate cognitive skills while guiding students to appreciate the arts, their environment, their community, and to learn through work and play.

We are looking for an exemplary teacher, motivator, and learner, with strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to respectfully communicate with children, parents, and colleagues. Through differentiated instruction, and by using a variety of styles and modalities, the teacher will be able to inspire learning through many approaches and create challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all children.

Salary will depend upon licensure, experience, and qualifications.
