Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Speech - Language Pathologist (Level 1), Speech - Language Pathologist (Level 2), Speech - Language Pathologist (Level 3).
The license position area must be in Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
This position is for an SLP only in a supervisory position over a current SLT.
Responsibilities
Provide appropriate evaluation and treatment to all students assigned to your schedule.
Complete required documentation.
Attend continuing education activities to maintain ASHA clinical fellowship requirements.
Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to provide evaluation and/or treatment for speech, language, and swallowing and/or cognitive disorders and develop and implement treatment plans.
Ability to provide work direction to paraprofessionals; identify program needs; develop new areas of activity; and respond to emergency situations.
Knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development.
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
