PE/Exercise Science

Layton Christian Academy is a pre K-12th grade private Christian school and a ministry of Christian Life Center. Located approximately 40 minutes north of Salt Lake City, Layton Christian Academy is in a prime location to be accessible to students from neighboring cities, as well as Hill Air Force Base. With some 20+ countries represented, Layton Christian Academy has a diverse population of students, primarily in the high school (grades 9-12). Layton Christian Academy's PE/Exercise science teacher is responsible for educating students about the importance of lifelong health and wellness. This individual needs to be able to develop creative lessons which address the Utah state standards for physical education and science, specifically, biology. He/she is responsible for providing challenging lessons which incorporate a variety of teaching methods, as well as hands on activities to enhance learning. His/her focus should be on introducing and expanding upon material to address the needs of all learners. This individual needs to be creative , energetic and motivating as he/she strives to help his/her students grow physically, academically and spiritually.
