Ardsley High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the testing center for the 2026-2027 school year, effective immediately.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB: The Teaching Assistant will manage the Ardsley High School Testing Center. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the collection, proctoring, organization, and redistribution of all student assessments administered within the center. Systemic organization and operational workflow will be developed and maintained in close collaboration with the High School Assistant Principal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a valid New York State Teaching Assistant certificate or Classroom Teaching certificate.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• 10-month position
• 4-year probationary period

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Teaching Assistant will:

• Administer and oversee standardized, course-specific, and accommodated exams in strict compliance with testing center guidelines and protocols.
• Verify student identities, cross-reference exam rosters, and assign designated seating prior to admitting examinees into the testing room.
• Actively proctor examinations by monitoring testing rooms (both in-person and via surveillance systems) to deter academic dishonesty and maintain a quiet, distraction-free environment.
• Enforce test security policies, managing the collection and secure storage of unauthorized items such as phones, bags, and smartwatches.

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually by building administration.

SALARY & BENEFITS:
