Position Description:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on professional experience in one or more of the following areas: small business operations, digital marketing, Canva design, WordPress/e-commerce, AI tools, project management, leadership, finance, or human resources.
  • Experience teaching or training adults in an educational, professional, or corporate setting is preferred.
  • Ability to teach 1–4 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate scheduled morning, afternoon, or evening sessions throughout the spring, summer, and fall semesters.

Essential Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:

  1. Deliver instruction to entrepreneurs and small business owners across a variety of business and technology topics, including Digital Marketing & Social Media, Canva Design, AI & Business Automation, Business Applications, WordPress & E-commerce, Project Management, Leadership Development, Finance & Accounting, Sales, and Human Resources.
  2. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
  3. Facilitate engaging learning experiences that support entrepreneurs in developing practical business and technology skills.
  4. Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
  5. Adapt instructional content and teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse adult learners.
  6. Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
  7. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
  8. Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
  9. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. – prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.).
  10. Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.
  11. Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
  12. Maintain dependable attendance and timely arrival in accordance with scheduled work hours.
  13. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.  

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.

Salary Schedule: Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees

Hiring Range: $40 per hour
