1. Monitors computer operation of payroll. 2. Receives and compute all payrolls, making deductions for income tax, retirement, health and medical insurance, COBRA, direct deposit and the like. 3. Prepares payroll on the 15th and last day of the month 4. Prepares monthly and quarterly reports and checks for proper agencies covering all payroll matters. 5. Summarizes and balance entries recorded in individual journals and ledgers and reconcile payroll reports. 6. Maintains records covering all deductions. 7. Prepares forms for the state regarding employee status – beneficiary changes, deaths, loans, retirements and withdrawals. 8. Prepares all tax forms related to payroll matters. 9. Maintains a filing system for all payroll records. 10. Maintains good public relations with all staff members and the general public. 11. Exercises judgment and assumes responsibility for organizing and carrying out assignments. 12. Supports the development, implementation, and achievement of strict strategic plan goals and objectives. 13. Complies with district, state, and local guidelines and policies within area of responsibility and management. 14. Performs other duties related to the position and that may be assigned by immediate supervisor.
