Bloomfield Public Schools is accepting applications from qualified local candidates for the role of Food Services General Worker - District Substitute

  Work Day:     3.75 hours up to 7.5 per day, depending on the school and coverage needed.                        Shifts start time range from 7:30 am and end time is no later than 2:15 pm.   Hourly Wage:     $16.35   Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Duties:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Responsible for all general food preparation, serving, and sanitation procedures.
• Assists with preparing vegetables, fruits, salads, sandwiches, and other menu items.
• Sets up hot and/or cold food areas.
• Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping floors, cleaning equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing.
• Assists in receiving and storing food items. Ability to lift/move up to 30 pounds.
• Assists in serving of daily menu items.
• Cashiering experience desired, but not required. Willingness to learn.
• Performs other duties as requested by supervisors.
• Demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and courteously with students, food service department staff, and school personnel
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
