Qualifications: 1. Illinois Food Sanitation Certification 2. Knowledge of food purchasing, sanitation procedures, and equipment operation 3. Experience in school food service management 4. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace 5. Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems 6. Strong leadership, interpersonal, management, and customer service skills 7. Ability to bend, stoop, turn, squat, and lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds 8. Ability and willingness to respond to after-hours calls via telephone and work overtime to respond to emergencies (broken cooling equipment, etc.) as directed
Position Summary: The Food and Nutrition Services Manager works with the Assistant Manager as a team to manage daily functions of the cafeteria and ensure the organized, efficient operation of the food service programs in their assigned building.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Manages the daily operation of the school's food service program. 2. Provides leadership and supervision to food service staff to support efficient operations, quality service, and a positive work environment. 3. Ensures established standards for food quality, nutrition, sanitation, safety, financial accountability, and customer service are maintained. 4. Supports the goals of the Food and Nutrition Services Department and communicates operational needs and concerns to District-level administration.
