POSITION:Site Coordinator for 21CCLC Out-of-School Time (OST) Programs

DESCRIPTION:Onamia Public Schools is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Site Coordinator for OST Programs. This person will coordinate and oversee out-of-school academic and enrichment programs, including before and after school, on weekends, and in the summer. Specific duties include:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of OST programs (e.g., facility usage, student transportation and safety, food service needs, supplies and materials, teacher/staff needs, etc.).
  • Facilitate connections between school-day and out-of-school time learning, and foster two-way communication with classroom teachers and other school-day staff.
  • Assist with developing, communicating, and enforcing policies and procedures for OST programs, including those related to discipline.
  • Assist with evaluation tasks such as administering student and teacher surveys and collating attendance data, as determined by Program Director and program funders.
  • Coordinate Targeted Services program requirements, including the development of Continual Learning Plans and MARSS reporting requirements.
  • Develop program schedules, registration procedures, and marketing materials.

REQUIREMENTS: Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience developing, administering, and evaluating youth OST programs or other youth development programs.
  • Experience working with youth in OST settings, and ability to positively interact with youth and support their development.
  • An understanding of how to promote Youth Program Quality in OST programs.
  • Training and experience in: behavior management (including PBIS); working with at-risk youth; cultural competency/responsiveness; and participatory, hands-on learning.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, word processing, on-line surveys, and databases.

HOURS: 230 days per year; hours as determined by program needs

SALARY: DOQ; position is dependent on funding.
