Position Summary The Area Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher to provide high-quality mathematics instruction and support students during an extended teacher absence starting on November 5th, 2026 thru February 8th, 2027. About Zumbro Education District (ZED): ZED is an education district serving six member districts that include Triton, Kasson-Mantorville, Stewartville, Byron, Hayfield and Blooming Prairie. Area Learning Center (ALC): The ALC serves students in grades 6-12 with alternative programming. ALC teachers prioritize relationships first while delivering academic programming in various content areas; develop and deliver curricular content based on state and local standards; communicate and collaborate regularly with multiple stakeholders; implement whole group, small group, and differentiated instruction with a focus on personalized learning; embed social-emotional learning, various technologies and a variety of pedagogical approaches into daily activities; establish effective classroom systems with a focus on restorative and trauma-informed practices.
Qualifications: Valid Minnesota teaching license or valid substitute licensure
