PART-TIME HEALTH CLERK
Position Summary
The Part-Time Health Clerk assists with routine student health needs and supports the operation of the school health office. The position provides basic first aid and other routine health support to students in accordance with District procedures and guidelines.
Essential Duties
• Provide basic first aid and routine health support to students following District procedures and guidelines.
• Assist students who come to the health office with minor illnesses or injuries.
• Contact parents/guardians as appropriate regarding student illness or injury.
• Maintain health-office visit records and assist with routine student health records and documentation.
• Assist with health-office supplies and organization.
• Support the school nurse with routine health-related tasks as assigned and appropriately trained.
• Refer concerns requiring nursing assessment, medical judgment, or treatment to the school nurse or appropriate administrator.
• Maintain student confidentiality and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• CNA, medical assistant, or other health-related training or experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff and maintain confidentiality.
Schedule and Compensation
Approximately 10 hours per week at $27.58 per hour per district CBA. Work hours are flexible and will be established based on District needs.
