Position: Substitute Nurse
Location: Harwinton Consolidated, Lake Garda Elementary, Har-Bur Middle and Lewis S. Mills High Schools
Wage:**** $175/day
Reports to: Building Administration
Starting Date: Immediately
As a substitute school nurse, you will provide temporary nursing care in our schools, ensuring
student health, safety and well-being in the absence of a full-time nurse.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in a combination of the following areas:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) is required
- At least six months of pediatric, school, or long-term care nursing experience is often required
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to perform skilled nursing procedures, maintain confidentiality, assess student needs, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
