Eagle Ridge Academy is a Tuition-Free Classical, College-Preparatory Charter School serving students and families in grades K-12. Eagle Ridge offers an academically rigorous education that uses a time-tested, Classical, liberal arts curriculum. They will have knowledge of particular learning styles along with the skill to meet the academic, social, and emotional growth needs of elementary-aged children.
We are now hiring for a EL Teacher FTE 1.00
Responsibilities:
- Provide EL push in and/or pull out instruction to students.
- Train, coordinate and administer EL assessments.
- Maintain database of EL and EL-eligible students.
- Assist in developing language acquisition support plans (EL plans) for all EL students and work with classroom teachers to implement plans.
- Coordinate interpreter/translation services
- Work with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction.
- Assist in developing appropriate curriculum to help EL students acquire the English language.
- Participate in in-service and staff development activities and staff meetings as required or assigned.
- Attend IEP, Section 504, or other related meetings necessary for student assessment and/or compliance with federal and/or state law.
- Oversee ELD progress monitoring
- Provide training and coaching for EL and general education teachers in effective EL instruction
This position requires an EL teaching license.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and applicable MN teaching license. Desire to teach using the classical education model.
