Position Summary: The Instructional Assistant will support students with related activities in the classroom. This role offers the opportunity to provide one-on-one and small group support during lessons and activities, foster meaningful connections, and contribute to a positive learning environment. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with classroom preparation, organization, and supporting effective classroom management.
Reports To: Teacher & Principal

- Follows school calendar, present for all student days
- Good communication skills, following written and verbal instructions
- Ability to relate to students with compassion
- Maintain confidentiality of student information at all times
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and accountability when gathering information and reporting
- Demonstrates patience when dealing with students
- Engaged and present during class sessions
- Provide instruction on using technology and digital resources
- Lunch and Recess Duties
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
Instructional Leadership
- Guide and assist students with lessons, activities and technology tasks under the direction of the teacher.
- Reinforce concepts that were taught in classroom instruction.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lessons.
- Adapt and modify coursework under the direction of the teacher.
- Attend field trips and other community activities implemented for students.
- Assist with implementing intervention support plans for students.
- Performs other duties as assigned at the request of the teacher or principaland other administrative staff as designated by the superintendent
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
