Middletown Township Public Schools is looking for the following qualified Teacher for the Alternate School Intervention Program
Anticipated Alternate School Intervention Program 9/30/2026 - 6/30/2027
Requirements and Qualifications:
- NJ Secondary Teaching Certificate required, ie. English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and/or Teacher of the Handicapped required
- NJ School Social Worker, School Psychologist, or School Counseling certificate preferred
- High School teaching experience preferred
- Understanding of NJ Student Learning Standards and differentiation of instruction preferred
- Knowledge of academic intervention strategies preferred
- Experience with Intervention and Referral Services (strong understanding of effective emotional and academic interventions) preferred
- Ability to provide social skills support and skill based instruction to students preferred
- Knowledge of ADA and 504 Accommodation Plans preferred
- Evidence of effective counseling skills for regular and special education students preferred
