Louisa-Muscatine Community School District is seeking a Busy Hands Childcare Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year.   Summary:  Part-time position with approximately 15-20 hours per month overseeing the operations of the childcare center.

Qualifications:

• Experience with or willingness to learn the DHS childcare responsibilities
• Organization skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills

1. Knowledge of DHS daycare requirements

4. Able to communicate well with others (children, parents and staff)

Reports to: Elementary Building Principal

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Maintain proper paperwork for staff, students and and the building to align with DHS requirements
2. Assist in planning required training.  (CPR, professional development opportunities)
3. Assist with back to school registration
4. Calculate and send out monthly billing statements
5. Assist in organizing daily schedules for before and after school care as well as Friday daycare
6. Provide ideas for activities for the daycare program
7. Collaborate with the staff and administration with any needs within the program
8. Occasional daycare supervision
9. Give feedback to administration regarding staffing
10. Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions: 

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Evaluation:   Performance will be evaluated by the Building Principal.
