Principal – Elementary K-5

Requirements:

  • NJ Principal's Certificate Required (Standard, Provisional, or CE)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience;
  • Administrative Experience required
  • Knowledge/experience with early childhood/elementary best practices (particularly Mathematics and English Language Arts);
  • Understanding of teacher observation/evaluation process;
  • Ability to manage local, state, and federal funds (school level);
  • Ability to strengthen family and community engagement;
  • Knowledge of school law, assessment accountability, and NJ Student Learning Standards;
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with building and central office administration (in a large district setting).  

Salary: Based on 2026-2027 HTASA Salary Guide Step 9A: (min.) $145,463 to (max.) $149,963.(with doctorate degree) 

 

Effective:  2026-2027 School Year, anticipated start date September 1, 2026

In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package:  including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off.   Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
