Job Description Substitute Cleaners Needed - Minimum Wage Mops, sweeps and washes floors, stairs and hallways, restrooms Dusts desks, woodwork, furniture and other equipment Collects and disposes of trash and garbage and empties waste baskets Takes soiled linens to the laundry Sorts, folds and stacks clean linens Fills towel and soap dispensers Strips and refinishes floors Delivers mail, packages and supplies Washes blackboards, sinks and other fixtures Changes light bulbs Cleans venetian blinds, mirrors, bathroom fixtures Reports defective fixtures or mechanical equipment to supervisor Washes windows, walls, woodwork, tubs, bowls and toilets May be required to paint rooms and equipment May perform a variety of building maintenance or repair tasks May remove snow, ice and other debris from walkways, entrances, driveways and parking lots
