**Elementary Teacher with Bilingual/Bicultural **Endorsement 

 

Requirements:

  • Valid NJ K-6 Elementary Instructional Certificate (CEAS, CE, Provisional, or Standard)
  • Valid NJ Endorsement or Eligible (Teacher of Bilingual/Bicultural Education: NJDOE1480) (CEAS, CE, Provisional, or Standard)
  • Knowledge/experience with NJ Student Learning Standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other grade level teachers
  • Willingness to differentiate instruction and utilize technology to enhance student learning (particularly in mathematics and language arts literacy)
  • Ability to interpret and unpack the NJSLS – as it applies to language development for MLLs
  • Knowledge of best practices in working with MLLs
  • Ability to scaffold content and instruction
  • Understanding of the needs of Newcomers
  • Knowledge of state assessment expectations and test specifications (where applicable)
  • Ability to interpret results of state and local data (including WIDA)
  • Experience with Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)
  • Bilingual - Spanish proficiency preferred.
  • Knowledge of Google Apps for Education
  • Demonstrates detail in required paperwork, documentation, etc.

 

Effective:  2026- 2027 School Year

 

Salary:

  • As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level
  • Minimum $67,958 - maximum $99,181
