JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION:    Licensed Para Educator/Classroom Health Aide

QUALIFICATIONS:    Must hold a Para Educator License valid in Illinois

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist classroom teacher
• Provide direct instruction to students as given by classroom teacher
• Supervise students in the classroom, washroom, lunchrooms, throughout school transitions
• Assist with the physical care needs of students, including diaper changing, toileting, and maintaining hygiene
• Provide support for feeding, dressing, and student’s personal care tasks as required
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of areas and equipment used in caregiving
• Monitor and report health concerns or unusual matters to the appropriate personnel
• Participate in scheduled team meetings
• Use appropriate student behavior management techniques
• All other instructions given by classroom teacher and administration

SALARY RANGE:     In accordance with experience and the SPCA

Contract

Range: $28,120.71 - $31,248.56

EFFECTIVE:     2025-2026 School Year
