Title: ESL/Bilingual Teacher
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an endorsement in ESL, Bilingual or ENL in grades PK-8
- Fluent in Spanish
- Ability to work well with Administrators, Teachers, and Students to implement instructional practices to meet IEP requirements for EL / ESL services.
- Ability to help ELL students to acquire fluency in English, both spoken and in the written word
- Good physical health and clean background check
- Prior training in ESL methods/techniques, preferred
- Previous teaching experience with bilingual/ESL students, preferred
Reports to: Building Principal and/or Director of Student Services
Performance responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching ESL Students.
The ESL Teacher will provide direct instruction, collaborate with staff, differentiate instructions, assess student progress, create a supportive environment, administer language screenings, and coordinate and administer assessments under the guidance of the Director of Student Services.
Terms of Employment: 180 days per the current collective bargaining agreement
Evaluation:
- Will be in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board of Education and the Country Club Hills Education Association
- Follow state guidelines for teacher evaluations per HB 24A-5 and HB4510
Salary: 2026-2027 School Year
Step 1, Level 1 BA: $52,268
Step 1, Level 6 MA: $56,074
Step 1, Level 9 MA+24: $58,098
