Mission Statement

The Palm Beach Maritime Academy meets the same curricular guidelines as the Palm Beach County Public Schools with a focus on maritime studies, science, and technology. Character education and life skills are also an integral part of the curriculum. Our school offers Grades K-12 at two beautiful, safe, facilities located in The Town of Lantana. Our Elementary, Middle and High School grades are fully accredited by AdvancED. A unique integration of subject areas allows students to creatively apply their knowledge to practical situations. Hands-on learning is emphasized in both classroom and field experiences. The curriculum is enhanced with field trips that include Loxahatchee River Center, Resource Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Resource Depot, Busch Wildlife Preserve, Pine Jog Education Center, the Port of Palm Beach, and local marinas. Students also visit numerous other destinations including the Broward and Palm Beach County Museums of Science, the Everglades, the "Floating Classroom", the Kravis Center, Jupiter Lighthouse, and a myriad of other locations. Students participate in the "Coastal Clean-up", Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) competitions, the Riviera Beach Plywood Regatta where students have the opportunity to build and race boats, and other community events such as the "Lake Worth Street Painting Festival".
