Walton Academy

Walton Academy is a regular public charter school. It is one of 304 schools in Hillsborough County Public Schools. Walton Academy has an enrollment of 200 students in grades KN-05. Enrollment has decreased -10% to -15% over the last year.

Our Mission: To ensure each child's individual development will be enhanced through intensive reading and literacy in a basic core curriculum, in a way that provides integration and exploration of dance, drama, and music into basic skills, so that every student can achieve personal success, and be an effective contributor in our diverse society. Our Philosophy: The Walton Academy for the Performing Arts (WAPA) will instruct and instill educational excellence that will enhance the mind, body and soul. Maintaining a strong basis for reading proficiency and other academics, the Academy will provide an enrichment program for the development of the performing arts in dance, music and drama. With these tools, we will encourage creativity, imagination and self-expression. Each student's multiple intelligences will be activated and strengthened through WAPA's reading and performing arts program.
