Position Title: District Administrative Assistant  

Department: High School Office

Reports To: High School Principal

Schedule: 6 hours per day, Calendar: school-year +25 days  

 

SUMMARY:

The main purpose of this position is to assist the district by efficiently performing clerical duties.This position supports the high school administration, staff as well as Career and Technical Education courses. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned

  • Assist administrators, administrative assistants, and teachers by phone, email and in person

  • Contacting parents to discuss confidential information

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate of Arts/Associate of Science; may substitute 2+ years of administrative assistant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • Knowledge of the tools of management, such as email, Google Docs, Google Forms, and Google Sheets and Synergy or other Student Information System. 

  • Requires strong technical and analytical skills. 

  • Familiarity with various types and sources of education information, including school 

Attendance, leaves of absence, and confidentiality. 

  • Excellent public relations skills to develop and maintain positive relationships

  • Comfortable working independently, with experience working in team environment
