IT Systems Administrator-I - Information Technology (#726667)
To provide district-level System Administration support in the maintenance and monitoring of critical data platforms, end-user devices and provide direct support to schools and administrative offices. Incumbent will work as a district System Administrator within the Technology Department. Work will be performed in conjunction with Enterprise System Administrators in the support of district-wide instructional technology needs. This position will work as a liaison and technical support for Network Technicians and school-based Technology Support Technicians and will provide direct support to the schools, instructional centers both inside and outside HCPS boundaries and centralized administration. Essential Duties • 3rd Tier District Support • Assists in supporting Technology Support Technicians, Network Administrators, Information Security, SIS and Database Administrators • Provide end-user support to include, but limited to, staff, students, School Board members and the HCPS community at large • Monitor and support Windows and non-Windows servers; physical and virtualized throughout HCPS’s Enterprise • Knowledge of appropriate server OS level tools, such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, as well as System Center Configuration Manager • Monitor and maintain users’ server file\folder resources located in the schools and within the Technology Department Data Center • Monitor and administer local server resources and ensure network security utilizing centralized management tools • Perform server hardware support • Support and troubleshoot HCPS workstation images and all approved instructional software • Maintain and troubleshoot Office365, mailing groups and Active Sync technologies • Monitoring/Implementation of location-based and Data Center backups utilizing Avamar, Source 1 and MS Data Protection Manager. Perform restores as required • Data content monitoring of servers • Monitoring and support of virus/malware protection • Support of district-wide student assessment and testing solutions such as SOL, WiDA, NWEA, Interactive Achievement, Certiport, etc. • CITRIX Platform session monitoring and management and other cloud computing solutions • iOS and Chrome OS device management • Content filtering platform site administration • Administration of network printers and copiers • Support of District Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and related devices • Attends work daily and be engaged in job responsibilities • Other duties as assigned.
