A Maintenance Associate at Children's Home will have a wide range of duties from day to day. Some tasks such as mowing and landscaping are necessary on an ongoing basis. Other tasks come in as requests from agency staff, which may include plumbing, electrical work, or work on the physical structures of each facility. Maintenance staff also engage in major building and remodeling tasks from time to time. These projects can be labor intensive and require a variety of skills. In addition, programs at times may move to a new facility, or staff move office spaces, requiring moving assistance from Maintenance Associates. Candidates must be willing and able to take direction from the Facilities Manager and Lead Maintenance Associates and be able to work as a member of the maintenance team.
