Description

New Kent County Public Schools is seeking a qualified candidate endorsed in Special Education: General Curriculum PreK-12 for a temporary position in the fall for the 2020-2021 school year.

Position Details: 

  • $78.00 per day then $210.00 per day until after the 20th consecutive day; 
  • Part Time;There are no benefits associated with substitute employment; 
  • FSLA Status: Exempt  
Job Summary: Performs related duties of a teacher to provide continuity in the day-to-day responsibilities during the absence of the regular employee. The ability to understand and follow directions and posses excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required.Please review the attached job description for a General Definition of Work; Qualifications; Essential Functions; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities; Education and Experience; and Physical Requirements. 

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; and/or possession of or ability to acquire appropriate license(s), certificate(s) and/or endorsement(s) for certain positions as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia or School Board.
  • Experience working with children in a public school setting is strongly preferred
