Information Technology Manager I (Systems Engineering)
Leads the computer infrastructure team to support and deliver services to the district on time and at a high level of performance. Ensures all systems are optimally performing and recommendations for changes or new solutions are properly evaluated, designed, integrated and implemented. Oversees and directs project deliverables that involves infrastructure compute team members. Approaches all interactions as an opportunity to improve the customer experience. Acts as subject matter expert to architect scalable, redundant and reliable enterprise environments. Must have a laser focus on continual improvement and best practices to optimize services and delivery of services to district. Essential Duties *Monitors and maintains enterprise computing and storage environments; *Proactively manage and plan for effective and efficient operations; *Establishes goals, supports implementation and ensure timely project delivery; *Develops and partners with information security team regarding data access, secure systems and security policy/procedures; *Maintains the compatibility, integration and operability between multi-platform systems to ensure reliable, redundant and scalable solutions; *Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures with regard to job responsibilities; *Trains technical staff to effectively perform their core duties; *Researches, investigates and recommends leading technological innovations; *Promotes an engaging and positive work environment; *Responsible for ensuring critical applications' availability and uptime; *Provides strategic direction and architecture design to align with organization strategy; *Takes a leadership position in the department and is a liaison with peers in the district; *Manages and leads staff via performance evaluations, coaching and career development; *Participates as a Technology team leader and partners with peers in the district; *Communicates and drafts requirements for all technical purchasing engagements; and, *Performs other duties as assigned.
