Human Resources Licensure Analyst III (#560053)
Provides consultative and liaison services to ensure employees are properly licensed in accordance with regulations adopted by the Virginia Board of Education. Engaged in complex licensure program support involving the interpretation and implementation of state regulations in accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act. Contact at all organizational levels within HCPS, State Department of Education and institutions of higher learning.
*Maintains comprehensive database of all provisionally licensed teachers, which includes assessment criteria, professional study requirement criteria, content area requirement criteria, experience verification criteria and renewal requirements. *Serves as liaison between Henrico County Public Schools and the Virginia Department of Education for all aspects of licensure. *Assists principals and instructional specialists in identifying teachers that are not in licensure compliance and help develop plans to facilitate proper endorsements for those teachers. *Evaluates transcripts and advises HR specialists regarding the potential employment of alternative route teacher candidates. *Coordinate data sources with Department of Technology to access PowerSchool as required to complete the State Instructional Personnel Report. *Coordinates information needed for Federal Program Title I report of Every Student Succeeds Act. *Coordinates information needed for Homebound Instruction reporting to the state. *Serves as an information resource for Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment, Praxis II, *Reading for Virginia Educators and School Leaders Licensure Assessments. *Serves as the liaison and HCPS resource for university certification and add-on endorsement programs. *Serves as the liaison with higher education institutions for recruitment and placement of Student *Teachers and Counselor Interns. *Responds to daily communication with staff and public, in order to evaluate and advise on issues or requirements as they pertain to licensure or re-licensure. *Attends the Henrico County Job Fair and Virginia Department of Education recruiting events and serves as the coordinator of licensure information and directives. *Establish, reviews and updates licensure information on the HCPS HR webpage. *Monitors and stay current with changing licensure requirements for all instructional personnel. *Conducts research projects as assigned in the following areas: Critical shortage areas, minority recruitment, alternative route teacher preparation programs. *May assist Recruiting Specialists as directed by Director/Assistant Director of Human Resources. *Assists with special projects and department initiatives. *Coordinates license information through the DMV for use of county vehicles. *Perform other related duties as assigned.
