3rd Grade Teacher Leave of Absence

Description:
School District 103 is seeking to fill 3rd grade leave of absence teaching position. Leave will begin on approximately 04/16/2026 through 06/012/2026 (or last day of student attendance).  

Additional transition days will be required and arranged between the candidate, teacher and building principal.

Job Summary:
Provide self-contained classroom instruction at the 3rd grade level.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 + years teaching experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree
• Candidate must hold a valid Illinois PEL License with Elementary endorsement required.
• Meets state's NCLB's Highly Qualified Teacher requirements
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
• Familiarity with SmartBoard technology and tablets a plus
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of balanced literacy approach

Essential Functions:

• Experience working with the proposed age group
• Experience assessing student achievement and differentiating instruction
• Experience working with English Language Learners
• Experience working with Google Docs
• Experience supporting children in the use of technology
• An ability to learn new technology tools quickly

Qualifications:

• Candidate must hold a valid Illinois teaching Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Elementary Education K-9 endorsement required 
• Experience preferred
