Description
Position Title: Math Teacher (High School)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Math Education required and a valid Missouri teaching certificate in subject area. Must obtain required district and building-specific training.
FLSA: Exempt
Salary Schedule: Per-Approved Teacher Salary Schedule
Direct Report: Building Principal
Terms of Employment: 9 Month
Eligible for emergency telework: Yes
Purpose: Provide mathematics instruction tailored to student needs in a middle school setting. Develop and deliver curriculum designed to help students achieve district standards. Manage student academic, physical, social, and emotional needs. Facilitate academic and interpersonal success through academic courses and approved curriculum.
- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- To “telework” when requested by the District.
- Provide direct mathematics instruction that complies with district standards.
- Assess student achievement and tailor instruction based on assessment results.
- Participate in faculty meetings and school committees.
- Communicate with students and parents regarding student progress.
- Document student progress, activities, and outcomes.
- Complete and submit grading and other required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Manage student behavior and provide appropriate interventions.
- Provide after-school tutoring, as necessary.
- Participate in required continuous education training and obtain mandatory credits.
- Other assigned duties.
