CTE Center Position- Health Science Radiology Teacher
Pay Grade: 820 (Min $340.54 per day)

Primary Purpose:
The Radiology Teacher provides instruction in medical imaging fundamentals, patient care, and radiologic safety.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Medical imaging, patient care, and radiologic safety.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Computer, scanner, printer, copier, calculator
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands:
Reading; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist or relevant healthcare background.
- Eligible for approval by the Texas State Medical Board to instruct in imaging technology.
- Eligible for approval by college to teach dual credit.
- Health Science: Grades 6-12
- Health Science Technology Education: Grades 8-12
- Vocational Health Occupations
- Vocational Health Science Technology
- This assignment requires appropriate work approval.
Medical imaging, patient care, and radiologic safety.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Teach radiologic procedures, imaging technologies, anatomy, and radiation safety.
- Maintain healthcare lab equipment and compliance with safety protocols.
- Coordinate clinical observation experiences with local providers.
- Prepare students for Limited Medical Radiologic Technician certification and licensure.
