Available: 2026 - 2027 School Year
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Principal and Athletic Director
Qualifications:
- Valid Secondary South Carolina teaching certification preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- NFHS Certification and CPR/First Aid Certification required, or willingness to obtain
- CDL License preferred, or willing to obtain a South Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Teaching responsibilities with the district, strongly preferred

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- The role of the Cheerleading Coach is to teach the cheerleading squad, to promote School spirit and encouragement of athletic teams.
- The Cheerleading Coach is someone who can coach our young women and men in a highly competitive sport yet help them keep a balance in all aspects of their lives, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
- A Cheerleading Coach will promote positive teamwork, positive interactions amongst teammates (and all levels of the program). Modeling sportsmanship and fan involvement at games and pep assemblies are viewed as important aspects of being a cheerleader.
- Maintain cheerleading budget
- Supervise and direct the assistant cheerleading coach.
- Attend all varsity football games; home or away.
- Responsible for distribution and collection of equipment, supplies and uniforms
- Help with the planning of Homecoming activities.
- Conduct mandatory preseason parent meeting
- Performs other duties as assigned
