Business Manager

This Business Manager serves three organizations: Biddeford and Dayton Schools & Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative:
Reports to: Superintendent
Supervises: Business Office Staff
Brief Job Duties:
1. Assumes responsibilities for an accounting procedure adequate to record in detail all financial transactions and works closely and cooperatively with independent auditors and supplies copies of the audit to the Department of
Education.
2. Supervises the collection, safekeeping, and distribution of all funds.
3. Attends meetings of the school Finance Committee and submits a monthly financial statement to the School Committee
detailing the status of each appropriate item.
4. Compiles necessary statistical data for the preparation of the fiscal budget, acts as adviser to the superintendent on the
school budget, long-range planning, and all other business and financial questions.
5. Prepares financial reports as required by state and federal agencies having jurisdiction over public school funds and is
responsible for disbursement of school district funds in accordance with state laws and budget authority.

Expereince:
The ideal candidate will have 3 years experience in education, business management, or acounting and 1 year in a supervisory capacity with a expertise in accounting procedures.
Certification/License:
Criminal History Records Check by the Maine Dept of Education
Education:
Bachelors from an accredited college or university education, business management, or acounting
