SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Title: Special Education Teacher
 
Location: Mansfield Township School District
 
Qualifications:
  • Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped Certificate
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective differentiated and individualized teaching methods as well as developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
  • Knowledge of IEP’s and Behavior Plans
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Required criminal history check and proof of US citizenship or resident alien status.
Reports to: Director of Special Services and Building Principal 
 
Job Description: ?    To provide an approved elementary special education program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
Terms of
Employment:
  • Position available:  To be determined and as soon as Board approval is obtained as well as completion of all mandatory paperwork.
  • Mansfield Township Education Association contract applies.
Salary/Benefits: $56,161-$91,986 in accordance with the current MTEA agreement and based on education and experience 
 
Full time employees are eligible to participate in the following:  medical, prescription and dental plans, NJ State administered Retirement System and in the Defined Contribution Retirement Program, possible stipends, sick and personal days.
