Description
The Hoboken Public Schools are seeking qualified candidates to continue supporting student achievement in the absence of regular classroom teachers on a per diem basis as Substitute Teachers. Successful candidates will exhibit an interest in education and excellent verbal communication skills.
Requirements & Qualifications
Either a:
Valid NJ County Substitute Teacher Certificate.
-60 semester-hour credits at an accredited college or university OR
-30 semester-hour credits, be actively enrolled at an accredited college or university, and be at least 20 years of age
Or a:
Valid NJDOE Teacher Certification
And:
-Criminal history background check (to be processed for the Hoboken Board of Education only after applicant is offered a position)
-Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
-Physical screening
Please note that the cost related to the substitute certification and criminal history background check is the responsibility of the applicant
Compensation
$105 per day for NJDOE Substitute Certificated staff for 1-3 substitution days per week, $115 per day for 4-5 substitution days per week
$115 per day for NJDOE Substitute Certificated staff with a Bachelor's Degree for 1-3 substitution days per week, $125 per day for 4-5 substitution days per week
$125 per day for NJDOE Certificated staff for 1-3 substitution days per week, $150 per day for 4-5 substitution days per week
