More than 8,600 diverse student learners are provided an exceptional education experience throughout the district’s early learning center, six elementary schools (K- Grade 5) including both French and Spanish Immersion programs, two middle schools (Grades 6-8), a high school (9-12), and the Edina Virtual Pathway online program.
Early Learning Corps:
Thousands of kids need extra help building a strong foundation in early literacy and numeracy skills before Kindergarten. Take action as an Early Learning Tutor and help kids emerge stronger and ready for school. As an Early Learning Tutor, you’ll spend your days helping kids ages 3-5 to talk, read, write, sing, and play in order to develop early literacy and math skills. Working closely with a teacher in a classroom, you’ll enhance daily activities and help our youngest learners build both skills and confidence.
With great training and on-site coaching, we’ll prepare you to help kids succeed. Students make the most progress when you are there, so our tutors serve during school hours and are needed for the entire school year. We are currently recruiting tutors for the 2025-26 school year, with the option of beginning in August
This is an AmeriCorps member position with Early Learning Corps and you’ll be joining a team of 300 tutors nationwide. Together, we’re on a mission to help our youngest learners get ready for school!
Schedule: AmeriCorps members with Early Learning Corps can serve 35, 25, or 18 hours per week.
Wage: AmeriCorps members with Early Learning Corps earn a biweekly stipend, which is dependent on the time commitment served.

Reading Corps:
Thousands of children need extra help to read at grade level. Take action as a tutor because kids who are strong readers by the end of 3rd grade are positioned to be strong learners for the rest of their lives. As a Reading Tutor, you’ll be placed at a local school where you’ll help students in kindergarten through third grade to become better readers. Every day, you’ll meet with students one-on-one or in pairs to provide extra practice and build skills.
With training and on-site coaching, we’ll prepare you to help kids succeed. Students make the most progress when you are there, so our tutors serve during school hours and are needed for the entire school year. We are currently recruiting tutors for the 2025-26 school year, with the option of beginning in August, October or January.
This is an AmeriCorps member position with Reading Corps and you’ll be joining a team of nearly 2,000 tutors nationwide. Together, we’re on a mission because kids who read have the power to succeed!

Math Corps:
Thousands of children need extra help to achieve grade level skills and confidence in math. Take action as a tutor because students who have strong foundational math skills are better prepared for success in the classroom, community and workplace. As a Math Tutor, you’ll be placed at a local school where you’ll help students in elementary or middle school to improve their core math skills and gain confidence. Every day, you’ll meet with groups of 2-3 students to provide extra practice and build skills.

Students make the most progress when you are there, so our tutors serve during school hours and are needed for the entire school year. We are currently recruiting tutors for the 2025-26 school year, with the option of beginning in August, October or January.
