Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate’s degree or two years of study at an institution of higher education (with a minimum of 60 semester hours) or successful completion of the Parapro test required.
2. Applicant must demonstrate a level of knowledge and/or experience appropriate to the position.
3. Bachelor's degree preferred.
4. Ability to perform the following actions with full range of motion and manual dexterity: bending, moderate lifting, twisting, carrying and moving objects, typing and reaching.
5. Favorable criminal background check and child protection registry check for the candidate offered employment required.
6. Tuberculin test required.
7. Participation in Direct Deposit required.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Para in lieu of teacher.
2. Provide small group instructional support when not working in a one-on-one capacity.
3. Have strong computer skills.
4.Maintain records and data on student performance as assigned.
5. Monitor student behaviors and assisting students to engage in appropriate behavior.
6. Demonstrates strong organizational skills with proficiency in record keeping, filing, typing, document preparation, database management and professional telephone and e-mail etiquette.
7. Knowledge of and experience with various forms of technology and software; proficiency in eSchool and Microsoft® Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher).
8. Professional demeanor with demonstrated ability to communicate in English and relate to the public and school district staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
9. Established record of good attendance and performance.

TERMS OF 1. 37.5 hours/week, 185 days/year
