Before-School Child Care Attendant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Before and After School Care Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising children, facilitating activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being during program hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in the program.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and intellectual development.
• Assist children with homework and provide tutoring as needed.
• Prepare and serve snacks following nutritional guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their children’s progress and behavior.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Follow all safety and emergency procedures as outlined by the program.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or child development preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in a school, daycare, or camp setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a group of children effectively.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.
