Iber Holmes Gove Middle School is Raymond’s grade 4 - 8 school with a student population of 430+/-. We are a team based school with five grade level teams and a unified arts team. Each grade level team is made up of four to five classroom teachers and a special education case manager. The unified arts team is made up of the art, computer, family & consumer science, health, librarian, music, physical education, technology education and world languages teachers.
The health teacher works with all five grade levels at IHGMS. Students from each grade are broken into Unified Arts groups and each UA teacher has two grade level groups per trimester; a green and a white group. There are six Health groups per grade level per year.
IHGMS is actively engaged in implementing a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for both academics and behaviors. Along with core academics and unified arts our schedule includes an intervention & enrichment period. Our goal is to have 80% of our students master their grade level standards in reading and math through a competency based education system.
Our Special Education Case Managers/Teachers are a member of each grade level team and manage the IEP's for that grade level in collaboration with the grade level academic and unified arts teachers. There are six special education case managers, several special education paraeducators per grade level and the building special education coordinator who make up the special education program at IHGMS.
We havea school nurse, 2 school counselots, a substance abuse counselor and 2 part time social workers.

REPORTS TO: School Principal
JOB GOAL: To make knowledge accessible to all students by developing their cognitive capacity and respect for learning. Foster students’ self-esteem, motivation, and sense of civic responsibility.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with Raymond School District Policies.
QUALIFICATIONS: The class room teacher will meet all qualifications and behavior standards as set by the Sate of New Hampshire authority. In accordance with certification requirements and the performances expectations of the Raymond Public Schools, all classroom teachers shall meet the following employment criteria.
The minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
A valid New Hampshire Teacher’s Certificate (applicable level-area endorsements preferred.)
A completed credential file that meets Raymond Public School standards.
Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience.
Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the State Board of Education.
Interview/file data will include evidence of sensitivity and respect for others and verification of the demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for youth.
Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
