                        SUBJECT:  SECRETARIAL VACANCY
POSITION:               Secretary –Athletics/Attendance
EFFECTIVE:            2024/2025 School Year
WORKYEAR:          Ten Months                 HOURS:         7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
SALARY:                  Per Master Agreement
High school graduate, including or supplemented by courses in typing, word processing and business practices providing the following knowledge, abilities, and skills:
1.         Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation.
2.         Working knowledge of modern office equipment, practices and procedures.
3.         Ability to maintain complex clerical records and prepare reports from such records.
4.         Ability to make minor decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations.
5.         Ability to deal with the public tactfully and courteously and to work harmoniously with other employees.
6.         Familiar with athletic scheduling programs or willingness to learn

8.         Professional dress and appearance.

  1. Knowledge of Microsoft Programs, or willingness to learn.
  2. Knowledge of PowerSchool or willingness to learn.
  1. Serve as a liaison between school and home with students who exhibit attendance issues
  2. Gather and review attendance data to identify chronically absent students
  3. Communicate directly with school administration on attendance issues
  4. Provide families with information and act as a resource of support and communication about attendance
  5. Assist with implementing programs and initiatives to support and improve regular school attendance
  6. Input student discipline referrals into PowerSchool
  7. Manage distribution and inventory of laptop carts to staff
  8. Manage laptop distribution for students.
