Description

The School Improvement Grant Coordinator will provide specialized services to the school specifically relating to the School Improvement Grant.  Duties are as follows:
  • writes amendments to the School Improvement Grant application
  • provides technical assistance to the School Improvement Grant school
  • reviews the reform plan
  • coordinates the administration of the School Improvement Grant
  • gathers the data and reports to MDE as required by the Grant
  • attends School Improvement Grant Networking Meetings
  • reviews School Improvement Grant budgets and budget amendments
  • monitors School Improvement Grant for compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • prepares and disseminates reports, as appropriate, addressing the requirements o the School Improvement Grant
  • promotes collaboration and communication within the district, intermediate school district, state and federal offices to assure smooth implementation of the School Improvement Grant
  • participates in professional learning activities that increase knowledge and understanding about effective school reform/redesign practices.

 RequirementsCandidates must have a strong background in education and leadership experience.

Knowledge of federal and state program grant requirements a must.

Candidates must also be able to pass state and federal background checks.
