Cafeteria Manager Trainee
Job Summary: Training is conducted in three phases at various school cafeteria sites with exposure to all grade levels. Please refer to attached job description for CN Manager to understand ultimate intent of training program.
Nature of Work: Manager Trainee is to work under the limited supervision of the Director and the direct supervision of the Manager of the school where assigned. In the absence of the manager, the manager trainee may be responsible for or may assist in food production and service, cash and inventory accountability and facility maintenance. The work may involve supervision of existing staff members.
Qualifications: Must have at least one year in Food Service management or a combination of training and experience in Food Service which evidences the ability and knowledge necessary to perform the work. Must successfully pass entrance examination with score of 80 percent or better. High school diploma or GED.
Working Conditions: Requires physical work with occasional heavy physical work. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
