Qualifications and Experience:  Visual, auditory and ambulatory ability.   Must have ability to effectively communicate.  Knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to perform the functions of the position as outlined.
Position Description:  To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of a Teacher.  University Schools prides itself in maintaining small class sizes. 
Essential Job Functions:  1) The ability to report to the school office upon arrival, fifteen minutes before the scheduled time.  2) Fills out the necessary forms, obtains any special instructions, and checks the duty list to see if there are any special duties to cover during the day.  3) Assumes responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior in class and recess periods as assigned.  4) Records absences in the manner presented in each building.  5) Upon completion of the teaching day, the substitute is expected to stop in the Administration Office to receive any instructions relative to another assignment, complete required personnel forms, and return materials.
Salary and Benefits:  Salary is regionally competitive, no benefits are available.
